We're so excited to complete the third phase planting 25,000 mangroves in collaboration with @ClimatePartner last month. Also in August we have completed planting 23,000 mangroves the fourth phase with a total of 73,000 mangroves from November 2020 to date.

The odours coming from the mangroves are a result of organic matter breaking down. Bacteria living in the mangrove soil perform the decaying process. A by-product of sulphur reaction is hydrogen sulphide, which is the gas responsible for the rotten egg smell.

We're excited for being funded by Global Greengrants Fund to raise 5,000mangrove seedlings and training local community on seed collection and planting. I really appreciate all my brothers and sisters around the world for helping me plant 1.2million mangroves from 2011 to date.

My special thanks to our area police boss, Mr. Peter Muluki for promising to provide us with police men to help protect the mangrove forest. During his arrival to our project site, he managed to managed to arrest two people and took them to court.
