Karkloof Rd repairs are progressing well. Work stopped to allow for water in the stream to subside after the rainy season, this was to allow for the construction of the head walls. Today concrete was poured for the first of the 2 walls. Anticipated completion date is 30 June.

Mr Zuma from Hlase Rd in KwaMevana became the first person to receive a smart electricity meter. The uMngeni Municipality will be rolling out new meters in various areas. Upgrading and updating our systems and infrastructure.

Today we signed an MOU with Working on Fire. This will help to protect our communities that we have seen in previous years. In the near future the uMngeni Municipality will be establishing its very own fire service. The ground work is being built…watch this space.
