It was an honour to host Amakhosi and Izinduna from uThukela, Amajuba & Umzinyathi. The DA is engaging traditional leaders nationwide to ensure their voices shape future policy. These are the engagements I enjoy, and will miss. 30 years on SA needs reform and fresh thinking.

Mr Zuma from Hlase Rd in KwaMevana became the first person to receive a smart electricity meter. The uMngeni Municipality will be rolling out new meters in various areas. Upgrading and updating our systems and infrastructure.

Today we signed an MOU with Working on Fire. This will help to protect our communities that we have seen in previous years. In the near future the uMngeni Municipality will be establishing its very own fire service. The ground work is being builtā¦watch this space.

A MUNICIPALITY AT WORK. The project to construct bus shelters in various Wards within thee uMngeni Municipality is progress well. The Municipality through the Infrastructure and Public Works Directorate is busy constructing 40 bus shelters. #MakingProgressTogether

1.4km fence around the landfill site is now complete. One more step towards an efficient, complaint and safe landfill site.

The construction of Mtholampilo sidewalk. Once completed the sidewalk will provide safe passage pedestrians & will also reduce the number of pedestrians on the roadway. This sidewalk provides access to the municipality's largest clinic. #MakingProgressTogether
