There is no reason the Westside of LC should pay more than the Eastside of LC for the same services. Stop double taxation.
The League City City Council voted to spend money on the maintenance of the ditches of the West side of town, and they say can do it a lot cheaper than the Galveston County Consolidated Drainage District.

In a unanimous vote the City Council has allocated the money to take over operations in the LC side of GCCDD and to purchase the detention ponds from the District. It’s time for the District to do the right thing. Shrink government, improve efficiency, and end double taxation

One portion of the City is being double taxed and it’s fundamentally unfair. At tonight’s meeting I will propose setting the money aside to assume the GCCDD’s League City portion.
