Interesting statistic from Saturday’s high school championship games. The highest attendance of the day was the D4 game—the smallest schools; the game that started in the morning. 😴 Great turnout from the @MarionLocalBB and @CCA_HOOPS fans!.

My take on Mentor’s Coach K: He does an excellent job of developing & working with the players he has. From year to year he adapts strategy—on offense AND defense—to best enable his team to compete and win. And he rarely spills a water cup. @MentorAthletics.

Sad to hear about the passing last month of Grant Relic. In addition to his outstanding contributions to the Brunswick Schools (see obituary), he was also a multi-sport athlete at Garfield Heights. @BHSGoBigBlue @GHbulldogsAD

Due to the pandemic, I didn’t see a boys’ basketball game in person all season 😭 First time in 30 years. But it was great to watch the state tourney on @SpectrumNews1OH 👏 Looking forward to catching up with @NEOhsSports @NEO_Spotlight @zeusisfat @iancle1 in the gym next year!🏀.

A bit of a shakeup in the first 5 of this week’s Top 25. And there could be more movement next week when St. Ignatius, debuting at #12 this week, meets St. Edward at Parma’s Byers Field. New T25 entries this week: @NordKnightFB and @_RHSFootball

I wonder if Semeka Randall @SRLay_21 remembers this 1993 mention in ‘Northern Ohio Live’ Magazine? A rising star indeed! 😄 @TrinityHSSports @LadyVol_Hoops
