@MayTayColts My mom rented Back To School for me from Marsh off Thompson and Emerson when I was in grade school. She had no clue about what kind of movie it was. Marsh rented VHS and Betamax at that time

@MayTayColts Not only did we rent movies, but we would rent “video tapes,” as my mom would call them — or video games, as we knew them. We rented the Super Nintendo console on really special occasions before finally buying our own in like 96.

@MayTayColts I had forgotten about this! Yes!! Pretty sure my mom chose Marsh simply to give me the opportunity to look at the movies. Good call.

@MayTayColts @tbriscoe can attest. We worked for the company who sold Marsh their videos. Very few supermarkets still have rental sections.
