Well, you don't need a PhD to understand that TVL without trading volume (excluding wash trading) is meaningless. Additionally, most users lose money daily due to IL caused by arbitragers. - 2021 TVL = $200B - 2025 TVL = $122B This explains why DeFi lacks adoption.
