How much carbon do plants release into soil? Our Swiss @MaxrootC team is looking into that, using a 13C tracer to see how much of the labelled CO2 is transferred from air via leaves into the roots and finally into the soil. Let's see how different wheat cultivars perform! 🪱🌾🔬
