Chilled food is typically kept at <5C through the supply-chain, for freshness and safety. So if a truck arrives to a store/depot and itâs over 5C, the whole load of chilled food can be rejected and wasted. How much of that food do you think is still totally fine to eat/cook?

In the UK, many chilled foods are subject to the 10 day rule, limiting their shelf-life to 10 days. In European countries such as Denmark, Sweden and Norway, the same products are given much longer shelf lives. This is a hyper-cautious safety rule that increases UK food waste

Space exploration isnât abandoning Earthâitâs how we protect it. If you care about climate, you care about life. Weâve nearly got the tech for life in space, but who's standing for it?

Whatâs most likely to kill us isnât whatâs hot right now. It's not climate change. Itâs the thing weâre not preparing for. Itâs the asteroid we donât see coming. The eruption we canât control. The disease we canât stop. The nuclear war. Thatâs the real risk.

Extinction-level disasters arenât sci-fiâtheyâre inevitable over time. Asteroid impacts. Supervolcanoes. Deadly pandemics. Theyâve wiped life out before and will again. We know theyâll happen. We just donât know when.

Weâre told the space race is an ego trip for billionairesââElon first to Mars, while the planet burns.â People argue, âWe should fix Earth first.â But hereâs the question: do they really care about protecting Earth?
