Before the movie started, we were treated to a mix of classic soundtrack hits from the Rocky series. Then, out of nowhere, Jack Black got up on stage for a quick solo dance to "Gonna Fly Now." Apparently, the friend he came with had dared him to do it. What a night!.

Tonight's sold-out 16mm screening of ROCKY was beautiful. Projected at @ArchivesClub's intimate 20-seat micro-cinema, the lovely print came from Tarantino's personal collection. By the end, the entire crowd was cheering and crying. Pure magic!

Tonight's 40th anniversary AMERICAN NINJA double-feature was epic! Legendary action star Michael Dudikoff was there in person, along with Tadashi Yamashita, Judie Aronson and Phil Brock from the original classic, as well as Larry Poindexter and Jeff Celentano from the sequel.

What an absolute honor to meet the great Tadashi Yamashita, aka the evil Black Star Ninja from AMERICAN NINJA, at @newbeverly!

I've always felt like Kaki Hunter from the PORKY'S series and Pamela Springsteen from the SLEEPAWAY CAMP sequels shared the same unique, offbeat comic energy. I remain selfishly sad they retired from acting so young, but I'm happy they both left on their own terms.

I thought #SweetRevenge was a surprisingly enjoyable mini Jason outing. Jason's character design looks much better in motion, it's well shot, scored and acted, the outboard motor kill rocked, and the final girl twist is genuinely intriguing and adds something new to the mix.

Now seated for a 50th anniversary screening of NASHVILLE at the @am_cinematheque.

Instantly scored a ticket to the encore screening on August 29. Can't wait to see this classic in an intimate 20-seat micro-cinema, projected in 16mm.

Last night's sold out 70mm screening of STREETS OF FIRE at the @AcademyMuseum was epic, and sharing dinner beforehand with cast member Grand L. Bush made it even more special! Loved seeing Grand reunite with writer-director Walter Hill, who gave an insightful Q&A after the movie.

Saw the 1976 classic ROCKY on the big screen tonight at the @EgyptianLA, alongside my @BabsAndSly co-host @kirkvichengrad. The screening was part of "Knockout," a special series of boxing movies programmed to celebrate the live Taylor vs. Serrano 3 fight on Netflix this Friday 🥊

40th anniversary midnight screening of @RamboMovie last night at @newbeverly. The vintage 35mm print was in good shape and the Stallone trailer reel (Lock Up, Cobra, Over the Top, Tango & Cash) was a fun touch! Happy 79th birthday, Sly!

Caught #TheG on screen in Glendale — highly recommended. Think Jim Thompson meets Thelma, with a truly badass lead performance. Dale Dickey's dead-eyed scowl could chill Charles Bronson's blood. She's fantastic in this stripped-down, Schrader-esque revenge thriller. A+.
