I'm a huge fan of Sedges, and these are two of our best. Carex rupestris (Rock Sedge) tucked into some rocky ledges and Carex capillaris (Hair Sedge) growing amongst a species rich assemblage on crumbly upland limestone 😍 #wildflowerhour

Been looking at Hieracium this week on the northern Limestone. Two really distinctive species: H. brigantum (Yorkshire Hawkweed) with glaucous leaves and big bulbous bases to their hairs). And H. monstrosum with it's large spotted and beautifully toothed leaves #wildflowerhour

Small Hares Ear (Bupleurum baldense) 😍 I'd met this species once before on an intentional trip to Devon. More exciting on Jersey was finding a rust on it! Possibly Puccinia bupleuri but that's not been recorded on baldense in Europe before! (Known on B. tenuissimum) @WebsWild

Puccinia thesii (Bastard Toadflax Rust) on Thesium humifusum (Bastard Toadflax) 😍 Been looking for this for a long time and probably checked 100 plants at this site before I found it! Just two infected patches seen in a huge population. @WebsWild
