👏🏻 Not for 1 second is the suggestion that these players - who all represent a bright future for 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 Cricket - have all developed directly through Cricket Wales. Their cricket clubs, schools, coaches, parents + @GlamCricket deserve immense credit for their invaluable roles.

..as a young pathway player made his professional debut for Glamorgan, taking a catch off his teammate and fellow pathway graduate’s bowling.  ❤️ More special than that was watching both Mum’s sat together in the stands sharing a moment as their sons celebrated.

👁️ In high performance sport patience, seeing the bigger picture + a belief to stay the course are essential as the outputs you seek are often achieved years afterwards.  As I approach 7.5 years at @CricketWales I was able to witness something special this week…

⏳ Talent development isn’t a quick journey or process.  📊 In fact, as a system lead it can be incredibly frustrating - full of greyness and uncertainty, with plenty of knives out there ready to criticise outputs (or lack of) in the ‘now’.

🚴🏻 After many months of procrastinating and feeds being flooded with outhouses and garden rooms we finally have a garage gym! 💪🏻 Never been one that had much confidence going to public gyms, much preferring somewhere in your own surroundings instead, and now we have it! 🏡

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 There’s a reason why this festival remains the highlight of so many players summers, and this year didn’t disappoint! 🙌🏻 Special thanks to @AberUni , @AberCC for their terrific hosting. To my pathway team and our brilliant coaches for their diligence + professionalism!
