Imagine you're the CFO of a Fortune 500 manufacturer who relies heavily on manufacturing in Mexico. You've bought into the nearshoring trend, or maybe even helped establish it decades ago. You just got hit with tariffs on imports from Mexico and Canada and your margins are

AI is changing everything. I’ve been using it a lot lately with my 4.5-year-old son — making Ghibli-style images in ChatGPT, goofy Veo3 videos, just having fun with it. And it hit me: he’s never going to know a world without AI. Same goes for freight. In the next 3–5 years,.

Our team recently started digging into how trade has changed since I first dipped my toes into Mexico freight back in 2014. Back then, northbound and southbound volumes were closer than you’d think. Imports made up 54.7% of US–Mexico freight. In May 2025? Imports hit 62.2%.

Playing around with @Google @GeminiApp and made something I thought my 4.5-year old son would enjoy. It’s a story about paper airplanes. Totally unrelated to freight.

🚨 The ELP Mandate just went into effect — and no, that’s not a typo for ELD. This is the English Language Proficiency Mandate, and it’s already shaking up cross-border freight. We’re seeing a noticeable spike in rates on northbound Mexico lanes, as many B1 drivers are affected

3/ Cargado is where cross-border freight happens. If you move loads into or out of Mexico or Canada — or want to — now’s the time to plug in. We’re just getting started. 👉

1/ For brokers, this is a game-changer. ✅ More capacity at the southern border, in Mexico, and Canada.✅ More bids per load, every single day.✅ More chances to build your brand in the cross-border market. Post more → get more coverage → get recognized.

We just crossed a major milestone. 🎉 1,000 cross-border carriers are now live on Cargado. That’s 149,000 trucks and 333,000 trailers — with dry vans, reefers, and open deck equipment — ready to move freight 🇺🇸🇲🇽🇨🇦. 🧵👇

@MattSilver @Cargado_ Legacy load boards have an outdated feeling to them. I don't know if they have what it takes to make the shift.

I’ve been to Canada twice in the last two months. Every carrier I met said the same thing:. ❌ The load board they have to use is outdated.❌ The freight quality isn’t great.❌ The experience just feels broken. So we’re doing something about it. @Cargado_ is free for carriers.

Pricing changes are never easy. But if you believe in what you’re building — and your customers do too — it’s worth doing the hard things. That’s where real growth comes from.

We built this product to help logistics companies grow their cross-border freight business. That means we have to grow with them — pricing included. You can’t bolt usage onto a seat-based product. You have to rebuild it for how freight actually works.

For many of our customers, this unlocks:. → Unlimited users.→ Access to instant market data.→ Full network transparency.→ Lower cost per covered load as usage grows. The more you post, the more Cargado works for you.

This isn’t a “you must switch today” kind of rollout. We’re taking a phased approach, working with each customer to figure out the right time to move. Early feedback?. ✅ More value.✅ More flexibility.✅ More engagement across teams.

Alongside that, we just launched Market Rates — our new pricing tool powered by real carrier bids. You get instant rate intel on cross-border lanes. All from carriers who actually run those lanes.

We’re moving to tiered usage-based pricing. No more paying per seat. You pay based on how much value you get from the platform — not how many logins you have. It’s simpler, more aligned, and better for everyone scaling freight into Mexico or Canada.
