Finally got around to reading Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes and I liked it? At least the first 2/3 was really good, the last section kind of fell apart for me but I was pleased overall

Overall I'd say Loch Henry > Beyond the Sea > Joan is Awful > Demon 79 > Mazey Day I enjoyed S6—definitely an improvement from S5. I know some people don't love the departure from old BM but I think part of the appeal of the series is the experimentation so I am still a fan 🫡🫡

Demon 79 - Fun episode, I love Paapa Essiedu - Didn't feel like a traditional BM episode but I don't mind that too much, I just wasn't enthralled by the premise - Ending let me down

Mazey Day - The first half was honestly so good, I love the perspective on paparazzi and the suspenseful build up was amazing - Twist was shocking and not in a good way—I love when BM breaks out of its shell but this was not well done at all - Only big miss of S6 IMO

Beyond the Sea - Many people said this was their favorite from S6 and I can see why, the acting is great and the story is brutal - Predictable in some aspects but not in a bad way, the episode sells it with the small details - Reminds me of the movie Passengers for some reason

Loch Henry - Started off slow but DAMN did it ramp up towards the end - Great perspective on true crime, given how popular it's become in recent years - I love a good murder mystery

Joan Is Awful - EXTREMELY meta, even by BM standards - I don't even want to think about the paranoia that would come with being watched 24/7, even if the things you do are innocuous - One of the funnier/more lighthearted episodes in general - Better than anything in S5 tbh
