The day was marked with many poignant moments & reflection: from the Dawn Service attended by an estimated 40,000 people, the Parade of service personnel & veterans, to hosting honorable guests from New Zealand & the UK, culminating in the wreath laying service. 2/4

Today we commemorate ANZAC day & pay our respects to those who served, continue to serve, those who made the ultimate sacrifice & those who suffer the consequences of war. I am incredibly proud, honored & filled with gratitude to be a Governor at The Shrine of Remembrance. 1/4

Sad to hear Sir Andrew Davis has passed. Privileged to have studied under his conducting direction in London & to attend his MSO leaving function. An exemplary musician, generous with time & talent, he was lighthearted & brought so much joy to others. He will be greatly missed.

In January I was delighted to be a guest conductor at the Melbourne Youth Orchestra Summer School. Conducting the ‘Little Symphonic Band’ the week culminated in a live performance at Melbourne Town Hall. 1/2
