What really helped was creating 3D versions of the characters. This made it much easier to get the scale and perspective right in several shots The first shot, in particular, had tricky foreshortening and slow, subtle movement which made the animation especially challenging forme

I gave my best effort with the character designs, but honestly, I haven’t created that many before. Next time, I’ll definitely consider consulting or hiring someone to assist, especially with expression sheets — those were the toughest to keep consistent throughout the short.
