Just waiting for that day when all students take a computer science course to graduate from high school in California. Baby steps. #AB2097.

Students working in groups graphing inequalities. Practice over lecture is my go to philosophy in teaching. Love the collaboration piece the most. I love being their teacher. @PerrisHigh

Not as many students dressed up this year for Halloween. It is always fun to see what they dress up as.

I love the @desmos activity by @kurt_salisbury that allows my students to use physical algebra tiles when identifying like terms in polynomials. These lessons with manipulatives serve as great mental references later.

Who is this @kurt_salisbury guy? His Desmos activities on factoring and multiplying using box methods and games are fire! Haven't taught Algebra 1 second semester in a bit so I appreciate all the activities in @Desmos.

I love this activity where the students line up based on where they stand in this spectrum and share their opinions based on the article they read. I had no student who felt that the world is better because of digital representation. @puhsd @codeorg

Instead of the aluminum boat activity, I tried the paper tower activity with my @codeorg CSD students this year. No spilled water. All kids folding and working. I may switch to this lesson to teach problem solving permanently. @PerrisHigh

Starting with a demonstration of linear search(kinesthetic learning), then coding using Parsons puzzle on color-coded sentence frame strips(use of manipulatives). This group of Florida teachers just keep making lessons better and better for our AP CSP students. @USFAnchin

Students will love this logical operator activity where you move to the right or the left of the classroom depending on the color of your fruit loops in your cup. The activity got more intense as we ate our cereal and the && and || operators got into the mix. APSI @USouthFlorida

Thanks to the PACK act passing into law in May 2022, the amazing @SCMS466duff is getting ready to teach CSP in 2023-24. We are hopeful for @SCHSBeavers!!!! She is so connected in her community and well respected. #csforall .@USD466_ScottCo

My favorite time of the year- learning from guest speakers! Thank you so much, software engineer Mr. Forth, for coming to @PerrisHigh and letting us know that projects in Github is an important tool if you want to get ahead in the CS field. @DeatraLee

Since the AP test is over, I told my CSA students to use #ChatGPT to make up their missing coding assignments. They had to work hard to get their coding assignments done. Unless the question is too simple, students have to know fundamentals of code to receive help. #chatgptFan.

First time in 14 years of my teaching career that a student in the computer science pathway won student of the month. Beyond proud of this student. @puhsd
