You were right! This is real and it's Aber Falls Single Malt Whisky. It was was matured in a combination of Oloroso, Pedro Ximénez, bourbon, and virgin oak casks and is positively brimming with rich fruit and subtle spice.

We are back for another Real or Fake Tasting Note!. Vanilla and toffee cross zesty orange peel, heaps of sherried sultanas, and dried fruits. A gentle spice picks up with clove, earthy coffee, and extra dark chocolate, studded with nuts.

Speyside Distillery will relocate in 2025, making all whisky from the original site officially “lost distillery” liquid. Expect limited, allocated releases, rising demand, and a potential fast track to collectable status.

This is what happens when you blend Bowmore, Macallan, Glenrothes, Laphroaig, Ardmore and more - then let Suntory craft something truly balanced. Ardray is bold, refined, and unlike anything else.

Your rum stash is crying out for backup. The sun’s out, cocktails are calling and you need bottles with real character, not another bland pour lost in the noise.

Never strayed past Scotch? That’s not loyalty. That’s flavour FOMO. Indian whiskies like Amrut and Paul John don’t whisper. They roar. Spiced storms, tropical swagger, fruit with attitude. Whisky isn’t just tartan and tradition anymore. It’s a global riot in your glass.

"I love how whisky bars have a 'Malt of the Month', and I revisited this at The Pot Still in Glasgow recently. It's easy to forget the great 'core standards' with all of the new releases these days. It's Glencadam's 200th anniversary this year.".

Who doesn’t love innovative stills?. The beating copper heart of any whisky distillery. The highlight of any tour. All photogenic curves and Instagrammable gleam… Ok, I might be going overboard here, but whisky nerds get me. Right?.

These innovative stills prove that the magic of making whisky entails a lot of engineering, flexibility, and copper-based creativity.

Pick one, pick another, and pay full price for the higher—while the cheaper one drops to half. It’s the perfect excuse to get serious about your rum shelf, without getting silly with your wallet.

Which Indian whisky do you prefer?. Amrut and Paul John have plenty in common. They both work with Indian barley. They both have used peat. They both explore tropical ageing. But each has its own style. Do you have a preference?
