March 2024 (Ramadan 1445 H) Masjid Salafi (Birmingham) Renovation Progress:
The contractors responsible for carrying out the renovation project have been working tirelessly throughout the month of Ramadaan. A list of what has been completed thus far:
The lessons of
@AbuKhadeejahSP
are postponed at the Salafi Masjid for the time-being as he remains busy with his mother الله يحفظها who has been very unwell recently— and we pray that Allāh grants her a complete cure, eases her pain and purifies her through this hardship.
Alhamdulillāh, we just played the recording that our Shaikh, the ‘Allāmah, Rabee’ ibn Hadī ‘Umayr Al-Madkhali (hafidhahullāh) made for those attending the conference in Birmingham 2018.
Some good advice from the scholars.
1. Don’t attend Jumu’ah if you have symptoms of the virus. Pray dhuhr at home instead.
2. If you have been asked to stay indoors, then stick to that.
3. The religion forbids harming others.
4. Don’t be alarmed, just be careful & trust in Allah.
Permanent Committee: Coronavirus & attending Prayers & Jum’ah:
1. If you have the virus attending the congregation or Jum’ah is FORBIDDEN
2. If specialists stipulate quarantine it is compulsory to abide by that
3. If a person fears harm or harming others he can pray at home
The Salafi Masjid will be re-opening for prayers tomorrow, Saturday 4th July 2020, at Dhuhr, inshā’-Allāh―we praise Allāh and are grateful to Him, the Most High.
Please see attached Mosque Rules based on government guidelines―we require you to follow them, may Allāh bless you.
Imām Mālik was asked about bringing children to the Masjid. He said: If they do not cause a disturbance by playing around, and will stop when forbidden, then there is no harm. However, if they play around and disturb others, then they should NOT be brought to the Masjid.

It is important to cultivate our children from an early age with wudū, prayer, respect of the Masjid and not to play around in it, make a mess or disturb those praying. If they are still too young to understand these concepts, then (mothers) the prayer at home is better for you.
