It's been a while since my world map flipped 180 degrees and now I want to learn more about #dataviz community in #NewZealand. Any recommendations?

- When are you going to fix it? You're a senior developer! - Seems there is a mistake in my job title. - Are you just a developer? - No, I'm just a senior.

While everyone is analyzing #Oscar2019 nominations, I've made a story about #movies and #names π½οΈ Are there any common trends in character naming and naming in real life? Who's more creative - screenwriters or parents? See the answers here ππ https://t.co/fvUQoreAsr

Just realized, that I am much more amazed and inspired not by young and aspiring coders, but by 35+ y/o developers with families & kids who are still on top and really love their jobs after 10-15 years in IT, but it's #UnpopularOpinion I guess

I work in IT, which is the reason our house has: - mechanical locks - mechanical windows - routers using OpenWRT - no smart home crap - no Alexa/Google Assistant/... - no internet connected thermostats

One of the most important things to remember
Mentoring myth: as you advance in your career, you outgrow the need for mentors. As my career advances, my responsibilities are ever expanding and the stakes keep getting higher. I need more mentoring than ever and more perspectives from an increasingly diverse set of mentors.

2018 was a good year for me, no matter how many times I fucked up and how many promises I broke that year. For 2019 I made only one #NewYearResolution: DO NOT GIVE UP. Let's see where it will lead me.
