I liked Death of the Silver Surfer #1 - for the most part. Would rather the plot be driven by the Surfer as opposed to this new character Kelly Koh. It was well written but no real cliffhanger to make me want to come back for #2 … so it’s hard to recommend.

While I found the writing to be well done, I just didn’t feel like there was any point to the story. It would be fine if this was a fun story of a lost adventure, but that’s what is going on here. Nothing to really care about, unless you are an X-Completist. Not recommended.

Who ya gonna call?.

If you’re a fan of Godzilla comics, maybe this book is your jam - but, I didn’t like this book - not one bit. Perhaps I was expecting more Godzilla & less silliness. Also the coloring was rough - everything is too dark and very muddled. I’m out on this one.

Star Wars #2 was such an improvement over #1. Noto’s art is exceptional - really captures the characters without feeling like he is tracing. The story was a straight forward quest by Luke to find some Jedi McGuffin and I liked it. I am carefully optimistic about issue three.

Speed Racer issue one from @MadCaveStudios was a pleasant surprise! The pacing and sense of speed in the art & story really pulled me in. That hospital race sequence was incredible. David Pepose packs a lot into 26 pages. This one is going on my pull list!
