Maybe some bona fide historians of the founding era (not me) can weigh in on this!
It seems safe to say Ben Franklin respected what the Iriquois Confederation had accomplished, but it's wrong to contend that the framers of the Constitution were influenced by it, especially after the American revolutionaries destroyed that confederacy.
