Ex-ESL MOHS student joined my Google Meet . I asked her the Dos and Don'ts of Online Learning, an upcoming ESL assignment! She recommends students get an agenda to help keep a schedule, take short breaks & do work at a table, not in bed!! After all, you might fall asleep. Ha!

#mountolivereads My interest in Spain led me to read Spain in Our Hearts: Americans in the Spanish Civil War then Homage to Catalonia by Orwell, then A Woman of No Importance about American spy, Virginia Hall, mentioned in Spain in our Hearts. Now, the book below!

During this first week of closing the school building, one of my students asked her guidance counselor for higher level classes across the board for next school year! I love that. Young people look forward. Nothing gets in the way of their future...not even a pandemic!

When I hear from one of my students during this time away from the school building, I feel like I hit the lottery! Yay!

A big thank-you to Seton Hall law student, Michael Hunter, for visiting ESL students at MOHS!! The class has been reading & questioning "The Devil and Daniel Webster". The students were not sure that Jabez Stone legally could get out of that bad deal he made with the devil!
