Last year, as video generation became a thing, we created an AI film academy and produced a film festival. We also began a deep exploration of AI agents using @eden_art_ .
Mars Research is a new camp at Mars College dedicated to Creative AI. The goal of MR is to give people the tools and agency they need to import the world's most important technology into the lifestyle that makes sense for them.

The second half of the semester until the end of March is less structured, mostly revolving around preparing for Mars Electronica, our final showcase in the beginning of April. At Mars Electronica, we organize a public art gallery, presentations, AI film festival, and more.

From Jan to mid-Feb 2026, we'll organize an unconference-like academic program that revolves around creative AI, off-grid living, bodywork, permaculture, creative writing, games, music, sci-fi and more. An open calendar lets Martians share their skills and passions.

Near the end of 2025, we will build a pop-up village in the open desert by the Salton Sea, just outside of Bombay Beach, CA. We equip it with solar power, water, high speed internet, kitchens, and residential pods, along with mixed-use buildings we use for activities.
