Marriage Advice
One of the most important things you must look for in your future spouse is to make sure they are righteous & dutiful to their parents, if they are not righteous & dutiful to their parents who have the most right to their goodness then how will they treat you?
Remember the blessing of having a roof over your head especially in this weather. A blessing from the countless blessings of Allāh many of us tend to overlook...
Brothers and sisters, your parents are a blessing not a burden. Rather burdens are removed from you due to you treating them well and honouring them. Just ask those who have lost a parent/parents...
The mother- the one who always puts her children first. Sacrificing her sleep & energy to ensure her children are at ease. Her love and affection towards her children is like no other. If this is the mercy of the mother, then what about mercy of the One Who made her so merciful!
By Allāh,the key to a happy marriage is keeping your duty to Allāh, being patient with one another, overlooking each others faults, having good thoughts about one another, advising one another sincerely&saying good words to one another.Make plenty of dua' Allāh to rectify you both.
Why many hearts find it difficult to worship Allaah سبحانه وتعالى, and why many hearts do not experience the delight and comfort that is found in the worship and remembrance of Allaah سبحانه وتعالى ...
A glimpse in the morning of a Muslim.
He wakes up praising his Lord for restoring his soul back to him. He prepares himself for the Fajr Prayer by making wudhu, knowing that with each drop of water sins are being removed. He then makes the du'ā for leaving the home, asking
What does a father want from his son in-law? He wants his son in-law to treat his daughter, the daughter he raised with love, care and affection to be treated well and loved, not to be oppressed and ill-treated. And that they help one another to get to Paradise.
A beautiful du'ā that we should say often. A du'ā which necessitates that we learn HOW to pray correctly and also that we teach our children how to perform wudhu and pray correctly:
A righteous child will bring much happiness, not just in this life, but also after you have passed away. But how will they be righteous whilst you neglect them & leave them in front of a TV. Rather it requires dua', leading by example & much effort in teaching them the religion.
Having good thoughts and opinions of the people of Sunnah, and especially the scholars and callers to this blessed methodology- the methodology of the Righteous Predecessors...
The kind, loving and understanding father. One whom his children, and especially his daughters, know they can confide in him, as he is their rock, and one who will always look out for their best interests, in their worldly and religious affairs.
How beautiful is the life of the Muslim, wakes up praising Allāh after resting from the toils of the day, then prays Fajr, listening to the Speech of his Creator, then after completing the Prayer does his adhkār (remembrances),then does the adhkār for the morning. The best life!
From the greatest ways of protecting yourself from the Punishment of the Grave. May Allāh reward Shaykh Hasan Somali
@hikmahpubs
(may Allāh protect him) tremendously for directing us to this tremendous statement of Imām ibn al-Qayyim (may Allāh have mercy upon him):
The Salaf as-Saalih (Righteous Predecessors) had great love and reverence for the speech of Allaah- Al-Qur'ān, is it then any wonder why they were raised in status and honour..
Be Humble
Imām Ibn Qudāmah(d.620AH) رحمه الله stated:
"The Salaf used to love those who informed them of their shortcomings and mistakes. And as for us now, the most hated of the people to us are those who inform us of our mistakes & shortcomings."
[Minhaaj al-Qaasideen(p.196)]
Approximately population of the world is about 8 billion people and how many billions have passed away, only Allāh knows. But how many were given eemān?
The Muslim is an optimistic and positive individual, as he/she has good thoughts regarding their merciful Lord, because continuous sadness does NOT benefit you in any way except it harms you- mentally and physically, and it also has an impact on those who are close to you...
When one is reading and studying the Qur'ān, and the Sunnah, and the statements of the Companions, and reading and studying the books of the scholars of Ahlus-Sunnah, how can they ever become lonely?! They are in the best and most delightful of company.
They mocked our Prophet in France! What should we do? Answered by the noble scholar- Shaykh, Al-'Allāmah Saalih al-Fawzan (may Allāh protect him). Translated by our beloved brothers
@DaarusSunnah
(may Allāh reward them tremendously).
Wallāhi, having good thoughts about Allāh سبحانه وتعالى truly gives you contentment, optimism & brings you happiness which no amount of money can buy. It is also a cure & protection from worries, anxiety & depression. Please read the following carefully and ponder over it:
How many prepare themselves for a an important occasion, they make sure they dress & smell nice. Is there a meeting more greater & important than standing before Allaah in the Prayer? So sad to see some come to the Prayer in night pyjamas, or dirty clothing or having bad odour...
If doing wudu is a reason for your sins to be forgiven&walking to the salah is a reason for you to be raised in levels&for your sins to be forgiven,&remaining in the place of salah is a reason for the angels to make dua' for you, then what about the reward for the salah itself?!
Mother's Day, really?
The Muslims have Mother's Life, which means that she is honoured and treated in a beautiful manner during the whole of her lifetime, NOT JUST 1 DAY!
How happy we become when a friend gives us something from the worldly affairs, then what about the friend who is guiding you away from deeds that lead to pain in this life and the Hereafter, and guides you to deeds that lead to happiness in this life and the next...
A common question that gets asked:how do I protect myself from the evil eye, magic, etc?
The answer:
The Prophet (may Allāh honour him & grant him peace) said,
"Safeguard the rights of Allāh & He will protect you."
[Sahīh al-Jaami' no.7957]
Allāh never breaks His promise.
"And of the people is he who buys the amusement of speech (i.e. music, singing, etc.) to mislead others from the Path of Allāh without knowledge and who takes it (the Path of Allāh) in ridicule. For such there will be a humiliating torment." [Qur'ān 31:6]
How many strive for years to buy that dream house, but a house that will not be theirs forever, attain a PALACE in everlasting Paradise, which you will NEVER lose and live therein with no illness, no sadness and in eternal bliss...
3 Majors Sins.
And the root cause of these 3 major sins? Having bad thoughts about Allāh سبحانه وتعالى. And it also highlights the great importance of learning and studying the beautiful names of Allāh and understanding them correctly and implementing them in our lives.
Imagine the heartache one would experience if they lost all their wealth? Then imagine on top of that they lost their whole family?!Allāh's protection is sought, but where is the heartache when one misses 1 Prayer intentionally, not realising the severity of missing that 1 Prayer?!
8bn people on this earth. From that 8bn there are approx 2bn who have been guided to Islām.From that 2bn how many have been given the enlightenment to experience the delight in knowing their Lord& worshipping Him,&knowing His religion with knowledge? That is the greatest blessing!
Shaykh Rabee' ibn Hādee al-Madhkalee(حفظه الله)mentioned,
The one who refuses to pay Zakat will be punished for a period of 50,000 years[Saheeh Muslim no.987],so how about the punishment for the one who abstains from the Salat?
[قرة العينين بتوضيح معاني عقدية الرازيين (ص.١١٨)]
Shaykh Rabee' (حفظه الله):
"The one who is not grateful to his parents, then who will he be grateful to?! Whoever has not thanked the people has not thanked Allāh, so how about if one has not thanked his parents?!"
[Sharh Kitāb al-Eemaan min Saheeh Muslim ibn al-Hajjāj, pg.110]
No one removes our difficulties, and answers our supplications and protects us from harm except Allaah عز وجل, not a Prophet, nor an Angel, nor a Righteous person, nor an Amulet, nor a "Peer", so call upon Allaah directly and place your reliance upon Him alone!
How many with much sadness spend hours watching TV or on social media apps which bring no benefit in their worldly life nor for their hereafter but when it comes to listening/reading the Qur'ān,or studying their Deen then a few minutes&they struggle.Ask Allāh for enlightenment.
إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ التَّوَّابِينَ وَيُحِبُّ الْمُتَطَهِّرِينَ
"Indeed, Allaah loves those who are constantly repentant and loves those who purify themselves."
[Qur'ān 2:222]
"O Allaah, forgive the Muslim men and Muslim women, and the believing men and believing women, those who living among them, and those who have passed away."
May Allaah, The Most Generous reward the mothers who strive day and night to raise their offspring righteously. Their tireless efforts produced the great scholars of this Ummah- past and present...
If this is the punishment for praying 1 Prayer intentionally without wudhu, then what about the punishment for those who DO NOT even pray or miss Prayers intentionally?!
At times we need things to humble us,something that will make us realise that no matter how much physical strength we think we may have,no matter how much wealth we may have,no matter how intelligent we think we are,we are in reality weak,in need of our Creator & Sustainer-Allāh.
The mother of Maryam, the grandmother of 'Eesa (عليه السلام) vowed when she was pregnant with Maryam that what was in her womb would be dedicated purely for Allaah & His House. (Qur'an 3:35). Supplicate for your offspring to become Imāms, Scholars & those who will serve Islaam.
