A little bundle of accounts from the 1790s from a Mrs Doudeswell I found amongst some finds- it looks like she was managing an estate? A masons and a carpenters bill and a land tax reciept.

Lovely little post card found in bundle bought at antique fair from Douglas & Foulis booksellers of Edinburgh offering to buy a copy of Dicken's 'Little Dorrit' from a bookseller in Barton-on-Humber from 1877. Wonder where the book is now!

Found this letter from 1948 in a bundle of stuff. Looks like Tim Brown it's addressed to was a booky as well as owner of the Langham club. Can image Hessle Road in the 40s being slightly rough. Wonder what trouble this bloke had got himself into! #hull
