Friday evening forecast models are out and I don't see any changes. Hot weather arrives Sunday; Saturday will be similar to today (just warm again). Actually Monday might be slightly cooler than the 93 we are showing...TBD. Regardless, reasonable again Tuesday and beyond

I don't use Twitter much nowadays (partly due to quiet warm-season weather). But I've got a fresh weather blog post for you: https://t.co/dKTv1OrOLc

Nice to see parts of metro area get the first soaking in a month today. 1st image is official observing stations (generally airports). 2nd is other weather stations and that tells the story of a very wet south-southeast metro this morning

New weather podcast just dropped. 'Baseball-sized hail' to...rainbows? We discuss the lackluster stormy weather last week, flooding in SE Oregon, and what's coming up. Audio version has already dropped into your feed, but we suggest video version here: https://t.co/D0V1i1b8Sm

Lunar eclipse viewing not looking good west of Cascades Thursday night. But eastern Gorge plus north-central Oregon could be good!

This didn't age well, apparently many hundreds of National Weather Service employees were fired today. Includes at least one in the Portland office.

Put a fork in it...winter is over in the lowlands west of the Cascades. But that doesn't mean the chance for a wet morning snowfall is gone (remember that spring snow in early April 2022???) New weather blog post this evening:

Peak gusts in metro and north Willamette Valley so far. most of these are from when thunderstorms passed through 4-5pm. Expect similar gusts to return when wind peaks 10pm-1am or so

Portland officially reported 1.4" snowfall today, extending the streak of consecutive "snowy" winters. We've experienced at least SOME measurable snow each of the last 10
