Fuzzy Zoeller was the easiest interview in the world, the kind of guy who started a recorded show before you could even do the intro. I've removed the paywall from my One on One conversation with him. https://t.co/4Czsbu7shX

the ABA Pacers. They thought enough of him to honor him with a pregame ceremony before his final regular season game.

Nice to see former @Pacers guard John Barnhill selected for induction into the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame. The Evansville native played on two of their championship teams and was highly regarded for his maturity. Had a significant NBA career before ending it with …

The distributor’s report from the warehouse indicates only 25 copies of the first edition hardcover version of Reborn: The Pacers and the Return of Pro Basketball to Indianapolis remain. A soft cover version will be out in the spring. Amazon, local stores or directly from me.

After six games, @BoilerBall is getting 20 points, 15.3 rebounds and 3.1 blocks per game on nearly 70% shooting from the center position. That seems adequate. Edey-like, in fact.

Former Colt Marlin Jackson is putting on an all-pro performance with his Fight for Life foundation. His challenging childhood drives him to do all he can for kids in need. https://t.co/FvuzoTB5eQ

Jackson’s dedication comes from the exceptional challenges of his childhood.

Kevin Mackey, who was a successful college coach, drug addict and @Pacers scout, was a terrific One on One guest back in the day. Here's the first of two episodes. The guy had a lot to say and didn't BS about anything. He'll be missed. https://t.co/xtmbVY75mW

shoot better in time and Jackson is hitting stride so there's hope - if they get reasonably healthy. It was only one game, but Jackson with 21-10 in 29 minutes and Turner with 9-7 in 32 minutes had to be encouraging for their fans.

I was fine with the @Pacers letting Turner get away because they had a desperate need to improve their rebounding. They were 28th last season (29th in OR). They were 1st before loss to Bucks, now 3rd. They lead NBA in fga but are last in fg%. Also last in steals. They will ...

Myles Turner should have chosen his words more carefully, but some of those words were poorly interpreted by some. He will be welcomed back someday. It always works out that way. Cases in point: Stephen Jackson and the former Ron Artest. Will happen for Paul George, too.

I took a deep dive into the Pacers' preseason history in the latest @IBJnews. There's some glory, some mayhem, some history and too many injuries. I also figured out their all-time preseason record and their single-game scoring leader. (He had 44.) https://t.co/zLzrMiA4wc

NBA preseason schedules have come a long way.

One of the most injury-prone players in league history. Hard luck career, deserved better. Good player for the @Pacers but his biggest contribution was bringing @aaronnesmith24 to them via trade.
Just in: After nine NBA seasons, New York Knicks guard Malcolm Brogdon has decided to retire from basketball, he tells ESPN. Brogdon became the 2017 Rookie of the Year and 2023 Sixth Man of the Year after being drafted No. 36 in 2016.

The Brogdon, Oladipo, Warren, Turner and Sabonis lineup is the ultimate what-if story for the Pacers. Dominated in their brief time together, but couldn’t stay healthy.

Now down to 36.5.
The Vegas oddsmakers underestimated the Pacers the past three seasons. Have they done it again by setting their season win total this season at 38.5? https://t.co/ITSLxhy8P9

Cignetti has “reverse charisma.” Lacks it to such a degree that he takes on a unique version of it. We might be witnessing the greatest coaching feat in the history of college football. NIL and the transfer portal are helping, but this turnaround seems unprecedented.

The Pacers have dunked on the Vegas brains for three seasons running, surpassing preseason projections by an average of 7.5 wins.

Impressive but not surprising turnout for Nancy Leonard’s funeral service today. Former @Pacers players, including Dale Davis (pictured) who flew up from Atlanta, attended along with several former front office members. Most of the current team was there as well.

Interesting seeing the responses to Furphy’s dunks. That’s not what will get him into the rotation. In fact, it’s probably the last thing. He’s a great prospect but he’ll have to beat out Walker and Toppin for bench minutes at forward. Hard to do.
