@AGA_Gastro Lastly, for the case report fans among us, there's an interesting case of collagenous gastritis, which can cause chronic diarrhea, reflux, and weight loss 🔑 treatment is not standardized, but might include budesonide, adjunctive PPIs, and nutritional support.

@AGA_Gastro Second, a commentary on CPUs for endoscopic resection of early CRC Comes with an excellent, educational graphic for how to approach surveillance post-endoscopic resection 👇

@AGA_Gastro First, a multi-center, prospective study of TPIAT in chronic pancreatitis TPIAT was associated with: • ⬇️ in opioid use • ⬇️ in abdominal pain • and ⬆️ and QOL scores 🔑 the etiology and duration of disease did not predict outcomes
Prospective multicenter study of patients with intractably painful #ChronicPancreatitis or RAP found total pancreatectomy with islet autotransplantation significantly reduced pain burden and improved quality of live. 🔗 https://t.co/beuChqqhgF 🖊️ @gurutrikumd

I've anecdotally seen some good outcomes with EUS-guided hepaticojejunostomy in patients with total gastrectomy, so it's nice to see other centers report the same in this month's @GIE_Journal 👉Technical success = 100% 👉Clinical success = 80% 👉Adverse events = 33%

Appreciated this article from @BilalMohammadMD (with commentary by @EndoscopyOthman ) on endoscopic internalization of PCTs. 1 thing I've been told is to consider manual instillation via syringe to better feel the pressure. Well worth the short read for those of us who do it!

A couple of clinical pearls from @AGA_Gastro Curbside Consults: ✨ The pathologic findings from colchicine toxicity? Ring mitosis (also seen w/ paclitaxel) ✨ Don't overlook peritoneal TB if the ascites returns negative! Sensitivity is poor ➡️ Stains (5%) ➡️ Cx (35%) ➡️ PCR (64%)

A few personal takeaways from the updated guidelines: 🚫 PPI-REE 👍 6 esophageal biopsies, from 2 levels 💊 PPI = topical steroids 👎 Allergy-test directed diets 🩺 Re-assess response w/ EGD 8-12w after changes to tx 🤔 Consider empiric dilation (16-18 mm) if sx persist

🗣️ New ASGE guidelines on feeding tubes in this month's issue of @GIE_Journal 1️⃣ PEG > IR-G tubes 2️⃣ PEG on DAPT appears safe, but A/C warrants discussion 3️⃣ Early feeding 👍 4️⃣ If malignant dysphagia, offer direct PEG/IR-G if available (0.6% risk of seeding with pull-type)

A couple of nice clinical practice updates in this month's issue of @AGA_Gastro ! First, an expert review of non-ampullary duodenal lesions: 👉 Non-dysplastic lesions do not require resection 👉 Duodenal adenomas should prompt colonoscopy 👍 CSP if flat & <20mm, h-EMR if >20mm
