This is inarguable, for me. Wilson can only align a roster with the platoon bats so well, and he’s clearly not capable of a creative solution to that horrid roster flaw. Solano and Moore have seemingly infinite job security. He’s iffy with relievers and has 3 total good ones.
@MarinerMuse Simply put, upper level management doesn't have the 26 best players on this roster. And Wilson isn't playing the 9 best players in the lineup.

Any time Dan wants to use one of the “guys who shouldn’t be here” in a spot to steal his good players some rest, it immediately blows up in his face. You can only properly align ~20 guys for so long.

This has been Dan Wilson’s worst stretch as Mariners manager. That being said, this baseball team has too many sub-MLB players on it slotted into roles they shouldn’t have.

This is a good offensive team, one of the first Dipoto has built himself in raw numbers, not just park-adjusted stats. It was supposed to be a GREAT pitching team, and you can hardly call it even average, especially right now. They can't survive like this.
