Maybe the best moment of the entire season

The Blue Jays are pretty comprehensively a better team than the Yankees, but I would not have felt good about any game at The Stadium whatsoever after how that series went in 2025.

While I get this, and he did find some rhythm toward the end of his season, I need people to remember what Thornton looked like for most of the year. He’d be in the same boat as Vargas, shaky but occasionally necessary, if he was still healthy.
@MarinerMuse Just imagine how the playoffs would have went if the Ms had Thornton to bolster the bullpen. Now they need to take care of business on Friday

Perfect amount of time to lick our wounds after that disaster, pack the park and get rowdy as fuck for a huge game.

5 PM on a Friday is an awesome time for a winner-take-all playoff game, I can’t lie.

Watching Nathan Lukes, I can’t believe he’s not a Jerry Dipoto player

Kirby should start Game 5. Speier should pitch to Carpenter in the 5th or 6th. Castillo should pitch the next few innings. Muñoz should pitch from the 8th on. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.

Everyone wanted a quick hook for Miller all day. Dan let him run a batter or two after the signs started showing, and now everyone thinks he should have had a longer leash.
@MarinerMuse Could have left Miller in?

What a collapse by the bullpen Dan has one guy he can trust now

You can’t have this pitch in a series clincher

We don’t need to be advocating for a bad starter to get high-leverage spots that Speier and Bazardo have excelled in all year. It can be the overwhelmingly right decision and not work.
@MarinerMuse Would’ve rather seen Hancock who they hadn’t seen at all than seeing Gabe and Bazardo for a 3rd time.

Yeah I mean if Speier and Bazardo are throwing cement mix cookies middle-middle you've got nothing unless you're scoring 10

Just a total meltdown from Speier and Bazardo. The Mariners don’t have anything to win a Bryce Miller start with those two guys MIA. They could’ve moved things a batter or two around, but they desperately need those guys and they were nowhere to be found.

The Mariners could not win the Bryce Miller game with a borderline non-functioning Gabe Speier. He’s been their most important pitcher in the series. They have no one else for these matchups. He got blown up.
