Yeah, Ekitiké has lived up to, and surpassed, expectations. That assist to Wirtz is just… wow.

Hugo Ekitiké being a success in his PL-debut should be to no one’s surprise. A chance creating machine who also is an asset in possession. Top player. Graphic: @TheTransferFlow

Only goalkeeper in the top-5 leagues to be in the 90+ percentile in terms of shot-stopping in 24/25 AND 25/26? Joan García.

Add Bayern Munich to the list of interested top clubs. Last game of the season today, things will start to move regarding Souza soon.

🚨🇧🇷| ESPN Brasil | Spanish newspaper AS have called Santos left-back Souza the “new Marcelo”. Barcelona & Bayern are interested in the 19 year old. Santos won’t listen to offers until the end of the season. The club already rejected a proposal from Saudi

Yan Diomandé is starting to become a household name in ”we-need-a-new-winger” discussions, and rightfully so. Elite numbers in various underlying key metrics over the last year.

Fofana is good and more accessible than Yan Diomandé, but what the latter has showed during his yet few minutes at top level (just above 10.0 90s in total) makes me more excited about him. 1v1 monster. Yet to become deadly in the final third, but he got all tools to get there.

Lot of talk about Neymar's season & for some reason he's been ridiculed. But 5+1 in the last 3 games to (likely) salvage Santos from relegation, alongside having some of the better underlying numbers in the league, deserves positive headlines. Bring him to the World Cup, Carlo.

Declan Rice has shut a few mouths after being labeled overpriced due to his €116m price tag. Worth every penny. Most well-rounded, and probably best, CM in the world.

Update: Arsenal is the team to beat. What. A. Performance.

The big takeaways we can make from this night is that neither of the Spanish team’s are among the best in Europe and that Bayern Munich and Arsenal are the teams to beat.

But as good as that is from Kimmich, Lewis-Skelly shouldn’t let that ball past him that easy. Got to cover space better.

– Xavi Simons to Spurs Big let down so far. I was positive but it hasn’t been good.

Just like all of RB Leipzig, Xavi Simons dropped off a bit last season but he still performed on a good level. Add his *brilliant* (literally performing on an elite level) 23/24 to the mix and Spurs are getting one of the most exciting attacking midfielders in football.

– Nick Woltemade to Newcastle Given starter and good outcome. Underlying numbers good, but not elite. Labeled a good player but too expensive and a big risk. Outcome been okay but not more.

€80M for Nick Woltemade is a risk. Bundesliga starter for no more than 6 months & took a *huge* leap this season. Witht that said, very promising CF with unique traits. 1.98m, decent between the lines/link-up game, agile for his height, great target man and can dribble.

The reported €40M-€45M fee for a player who has been elite in most goal threat + dribbling/ball carrying metrics during a solid sample is nothing but great value. Alejandro Garnacho would be a good buy for Chelsea.

– Yeremy Pino to Crystal Palace Been starting most games for Place and has been able to replicate his 22/23 season performances. At €25m I labeled this a good transfer. The fee landed at €30m and it’s been at least a 3/5 grade so far.

I would be okay paying that fee for pre ACL-injury Yeremy Pino at 20-years-of age, but he hasn’t really reached those levels since (not extremely far off, but still + two years older…). My bet is that he’ll be fine, but not fully worth the investment.

– Jörgen Strand Larsen to anywhere Struggled big time in a bad Wolves. I was sceptical towards him moving for a big fee, hasn’t done anything to change that assessment this season.

Jørgen Strand Larsen is a decent Premier League striker, but ~€64M for a player with this output is crazy. Getting good shots and carried a big bunch of the goal threat burden in a sub-average Wolves last season, but nothing indicates that he’s worth that fee.

Not sure why Monaco’s Maghnes Akliouche hasn’t been any team’s main priority this window. Anyone looking for a left footed inside creator + goal threat + dribbler should be interested.

– Omari Hutchinson to Nottingham (not Brentford) Hasn’t played much at all, but when he’s been at the pitch it’s been promising. Especially lately. I thought he’d come good if he went to a mid-table PL team, the success is yet to come but the feeling is positive.

Logical rumours connecting Omari Hutchinson to Brentford who needs reinforcements. His 24/25 in PL was tougher but in Championship he was arguably one of the very best players. Top dribbler, top creator and a solid goal threat. Got the tools to thrive in The Bees.

Love this for Brentford. One of Premier League’s biggest wing goal threats last season. Brings directness and well needed attacking firepower. He’ll improve them significantly.

Surprised Oscar Gloukh didn’t end up in a better league/more financially strong club than Ajax, especially for that fee (~€15m). His numbers in Austria have been *outstanding*, especially his ball-driving/1v1 which is elite-elite.

Real Betis is getting an interesting player in Nelson Deossa, stood out in the CWC and the Mexican league. Powerful, ball-driving, ball-winning and box-crashing kind of CM. Can be used on the wing too. Bit erratic in possession, turns the ball over a lot, but he’s a fun watch.

Samuel Lino will be good for Flamengo. Significant playing time for a European top club recently, has performed well and entering peak age. Multi threat as well. Above average dribbler, shooter and creator, this in a superior league. Likely to be a top player in Brazil.
