A review of the exact list of medications did not include the most commonly prescribed antidepressants with the exception of paroxetine. The study highlighted the risks of older tricyclic antidepressants which are infrequently used in older adults.

This CNN article will likely spread unnecessary panic when it mentions "antidepressants" as linked to dementia without detailing which ones were cited in the article. Most commonly prescribed antidepressants have minimal anticholinergic activity.
