So the Leafs pretty much are what they are. I doubt any trades occur before the season begins. Wouldn't be surprised if they just wait until the waiver period and try to shed salary/contracts then. Or see if any injuries pop up during camp. But this is it.

Jack Eichel's career high for goals is 36. And that was 6 years ago. Auston Matthews scored 33 last year in 67 games, and that was considered the worst statistical season of his career. Mitch Marner isn't getting 100 points ever again in his career.

So let me get this straight, Auston Matthews won't score as many goals because Mitch Marner isn't on his line but Mitch is expected to be a 100 point guy still. Why is this a one way theory? What about Mitch not having a guy that scores like AM to get him so many assists/points?.
