Kōanga Spring means new life on the farm, and this week we were out with Jake & Miki moving our cows their calves into fresh pastures. This process is called shedding - shifting new mama and calf from the birthing paddock, into one with more kai (lush green grass).

At our last team hui, we paused together to give thanks and offer karakia for one of the great elders of this land - the mighty Kahikatea. After centuries of standing watch over the valley, the wise old tree had begun its final transition.
