USGS data confirms that a 4.8 magnitude earthquake occurred just west of Newark, NJ at 10:23 AM. Data of a 2nd earthquake in Bethel, ME was also reported. Earthquakes between 2.5 & 5.4 magnitudes are felt but cause minor if any damage.
