Will the 21st Century be defined by a series of genocides carried out against Muslims in East Asia: -Rohingyan genocide -Uyghur genocide -Nascent and dangerous calls for a final solution to the Muslim issue in India and beyond. Why now? Why Muslims? Why in this inhuman way?

I wish a happy Mother’s Day for my mother, whom I have not seen in 22 years. I have no idea where and how she is. She said before I disappeared from her world: “You are my little bird and are now able to fly alone. Fly as a free bird. Man is either free or nothing.” Thanks mom!

These are the Uyghur women who were forced to wear traditional Chinese clothing, expressing unspeakable humiliation and distress. This clothing, however colourful it looks, is nothing but another kind of a camp in disguise for them, in which their free soul is dying slowly.

Uyghur women are praising Xi Jinping, singing “中国的习大大、 世界的习大大” (China’s great Xi, and the world’s great Xi). It is the disgusting brainwashing: Uyghurs are forced to praise the mastermind of the Uyhur genocide in order not to be killed by now.

Shocking news? News about Uyghur deportations, deaths, rapes and others has become part of our daily experience. Uyghur crisis is gradually being normalized. It seems what is truly shocking is not our death but our existence, terrorized to the core but still alive and hopeful.

Uyghurs have historically been killed by China for -What they politically sought in the 50s; -What they ideologically believed in the 60-70s; -How they culturally practiced in the 80s-2000s; -What they spiritually struggled to maintain in 2010s; -Who they want to be, now.

The same Yang in two different shapes—a wolf & a fox. The point is not how he appears differently but how his appearance mirrors your power—if you are weak, he becomes a wolf; & if you are strong, he a fox. It thus changes constantly. This is the definition of wolf diplomacy.

I got a photo of my sister. A heart-breaking image. Her eyes are secretly revealing the trauma she is going through—they are indifferent, disconnected & blank. She seems there but not fully there. She looks like a reindeer desperately running away from danger in her mind…

Each laugh, each song, and each dance in this CCP propaganda is a forced performance under the menacing shadow of death in a concentration camp in East Turkistan under Chinese occupation. The “joy” and “merriment” that these activities are meant to evoke are instead stifled by

Urgent appeal: an Uyghur man called Abulikemu Yusufu, who was deported from Bosnia to China, is now at Doha Hamas International Airport, waiting for the flight to China. His life will be in grave danger if he’s forcedly returned to China. Please help stop his repatriation!

Uyghurs are still going through a dark time of uncertainty as Uyghur genocide isn’t over: -Nobody knows when & how it ends; -No effective action is pursued to stop it; -No one is at their best; -Nothing is more certain than this uncertainty perpetuating doubt, fear and anxiety.

It is believed the Uyghurs, incl children, who have been detained in Thailand since 2014, have recently secretly been deported back to China against the principle of non-refoulement. China has always been falling pray on these innocent Uyghurs who escaped China’s persecution/1

This is not an old story but an ongoing story. This is a story about the genocide #China is committing against #Uyghurs and other Turkic peoples in #EastTurkistan everyday. Memtimin Hoshur, a renowned satirist writer, brilliantly portrayed the absurdities of colonial life.

My friend, your enemy can’t kill you, for you have outlived your death as an art. They can’t silence you, for your truth still and will always echo in Taklamakan. They can’t stop you thinking, for you know how they think far better than they do themselves. You are timeless.

No Turkish intellectual is as great as Mahmud Kashgari to identify modern Turkishness with its medieval roots. No Turkish could say proudly “ne mutlu türküm diyene” without referring to his masterpiece, erudition & vision. Now this gigantic image is being vandalized in silence!

Each face here is innocent & defenseless against monstrosity. It signifies an identity, refusing to be other than itself—the identity that is either destroyed or deformed. It is a fragile openness where good & evil, & divinity and bestiality meet. Ultimately, it unsettles death.
