My son says he doesn’t like being born on December 31st coz it takes too long to get to his next birthday. I tried explaining to him that it’s the same for everyone, but part of me kind of got what he was saying.

We made it!!! First thing he said was “I can’t believe I waited a whole year for this!” and you know what, fair 😂. Happy 6th to my little superstar!!.

So the pictures I posted yesterday were from Water’s edge in Liwonde. It was the perfect getaway. So serene. For the price of K260,000 you get a nights stay, lunch, dinner, breakfast and a boat safari. We only had to top up for the drinks. 100% recommend.

Yesterday my son had a whole meltdown at nursery coz the gingerbread man was eaten by the fox in the story. Coz “why is the fox so mean??” Today they made gingerbread men in cooking class, and he’s happily devouring his. I guess his perspective has changed 🤷🏾♀️.

Started mine. 3 years later they were done. They were beautiful. I would do it all over again. But let the traditions be true to you. This was my first divorced Christmas, and it was great. I had my tree, I baked my cookies, my son was happy. I cooked. Let it be about you.

My son loves to cook, so normally I make it a point to make one meal with him on the weekend. But today??? I have mummy’d. Taphika breakfast, then lunch, then made scones for tea wa 4 koloko, then dinner. I am tired, but he is happy, so all is right with the world.

My son is crying because…. “His tears are drying up.” As in the tears from his previous cry have gone and he’s sad. Now he’s crying again because “his tears have stopped working.” No ways this is my actual life 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂.

I know I affirm my son a lot, coz now he affirms me alot. I hear a lot of:. “Mummy you’re the best. Mummy you’re so awesome. Mummy that’s so dope!”.I am smothered with kisses and cuddles. I might not be perfect at it, but I think I’m definitely doing something right.

As for me, I will show up for my people. My cousins and friends always joke about how much I like things coz I’m always in between cities, even countries for random events, but I am extremely intentional about the people I love. God blessed me with some really great humans.

To first of all get pregnant. Then not miscarry. Then not have a preemie (y’all know my story). Then not have a complicated birth with an early neonatal death. Walking out of that hospital with a healthy mum and baby is LITERALLY biggest miracle in earth. LITERALLY.

It really shocks me that we deliver on average 30 babies every 24 hours in this hospital. I always wonder where all those people go.

Ok so, a lady collapsed on flight. We literally had her lying down on the floor by the bulkhead seats. In the end her blood pressures and sugars were low (shout out to the diabetic man who let us use his glucometer). She came to pretty quickly so only need oral fluids 1/.

2022 was hard but… I got my postgrad diploma. Was asked to teach for said diploma for an international uni. Bought land. More than doubled my income. Survived a nearly fatal car crash. My God has been gracious. 2023 we go again!.

If you truly believe you really need a doctor at 9 pm coz it’s an emergency, “emergency rooms” exist for a reason. Trust me if you get there and they need me, I see the hospital line calling I’ll never not pick up. Blowing up my personal phone is not it. Doctors rest too.

We asked for a business class seat so she could travel laying down at, I spent the 6 hours left of the flight going back and forth checking her BPs, luckily she didn’t need the IV fluids but they were on hand. The air hostesses gave me thank you champagne & panna cotta. 🫶🏾.
