The weirdest thing about Scott Pilgrim Takes Off is that the soundtrack isn't the one from the movie... and somehow Scott is actually Goku.

Then they did the best and smartest thing of all. They gave me an emotionally impactful ending without explaining everything. They left me with my own conclusions, and I started playing again looking for clues. I haven't done that since Outer Wilds. So thanks @LastStarfarer

I'm trying to think of why this is the case. Here's what I think it is. SIGNALIS gave me more of what I like, survival horror, piecing together a mystery, combat that's challenging but not grindy, and a creepy atmosphere. Bloated minigames out, different boss strategies in.

You know I liked Evil Dead, but @LastStarfarer's SIGNALIS is my favorite game this year. Ghost in the Shell meets Dead Space with existential horror. The controls are forgiving without the game being easy. It is very worth your $20 if that is your jam. Console or PC

So, Evil Dead The Game... pretty great. Don't love the matchmaking server issue, but that's also very F13. Survivor and demon play feels great.

It bothers me when a game company licenses a song for their game, encourages streaming, and then the artist or their producer comes in and puts that into Content ID match. Give an option to turn off copyrighted music, or an explicit grant to use the song when streaming.
