Turns out, the issue wasn’t the artists. It was X’s chat system. Many artists don’t even realize they’re receiving messages anymore because X sometimes just doesn’t notify them. I’ve already encountered at least 4 artists with this exact situation. (2/3)

I’ve been pretty lucky with coms over the years and only had to chargeback once before. Most artists I’ve worked accountable, and PayPal’s 6-month protection always made me feel safe. This past year felt cursed though — suddenly several artists stopped replying. (1/3)
