70 y/o F presented with a femoral neck fracture. Instead of using IV opioids for pain relief, a PENG block was done! Important landmarks include the psoas tendon, femoral artery, the IPE and the AIIS. Hydrodissection lifts the psoas tendon off the bone. #POCUS #FOAMed #ultrasound

30 y/o M presents after syncope. He returned from a trip across the country. The interventricular septum is flattened towards the LV, creating a “D”-shaped LV which is a sign of right heart strain. This is D-sign in the setting of a PE! #POCUS #FOAMed #ultrasound #echofirst
