#Spurs biggest weakness this season? Consistently conceding from crosses. Their defensive setup often leaves them outnumbered in front of goal, and their ball-oriented zonal defending frequently allows attackers to attack the ball unchallenged. Yesterday vs. #LFC, this issue

Compactness in the defensive organisation is often emphasized when the ball is in center of the pitch. However, its equally important being compact in the wider areas to deny access inside the defensive structure. Vertical compactness between each defensive line, and horizontal

You often hear phrases like โ€œnever turn with pressureโ€ or โ€œplay the way you faceโ€ in coaching, especially in the build-up phase. Even though I mostly agree with this, I still think there are exceptions that increase complexity in coaching, such as the case of @Vitinha in

An interesting outcome of switching the play through the defensive structure is that you draw more teammates to/inside the box; increasing the chances of creating a goal scoring opportunity. The take-ons and passes inside the structure force the opponent to drop and narrow

Principles should be adaptable, evolving through interactions between coach and players. Interactions with players in training, matches and analysis fosters mutual influence, creating new interpretations and a dynamic development process. This adaptability ensures both collective

Principles are like starting points, not rigid rules. Players interpret them based on their unique experiences, creating a diverse understanding within a team. Just as people perceive shades of a color differently, players' interpretations blend to form a nuanced version of the

Highlight of the season for our academy: witnessing local players making their debut and playing for the first team; Andreas Myklebust, Gustav Nyheim & Leon Juberg-Hovland ๐Ÿ‘

Key when using wide triangles against man-orientation a/o when keeping posse. on one side w/o switching, is not to get to stagnant. #Olivera's pass & move open space inside & enable #Elmas to cut inside, directing the ball slightly backwards that trigger the movement of #Osimhen!

In the last game of the season #Glimt scored three similar goals: โ€ข From wide & inside-channels โ€ข Fluid positioning to fill spaces in wide๐Ÿ”ฝ โ€ข Pausa + Speed up when penetrating โ€ข Entrance to assist-zone coming from the lowest point of wide๐Ÿ”ฝ(possibly to use opposite momentum)

I don't follow Bundesliga in detail, but decided to watch #BMGBVB. Firstly, was surprised to see #Sรผle at right-back, but even more surprised seeing him channeling his inner 'Ronaldinho' when down 2-1. Hilarious!

Impressive performance by #Garnacho ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡ท in yesterdays League Cup against AV. 28 minutes, 2 assists. Good perception & passing ability, but his ability in 1v1 duels from wide areas facing his direct opponent brings nostalgia as he reminds of a certain Portuguese. Some highlights๐Ÿ‘‡

#Zerbi-ball makes football look easy... provoking Arsenal's mid-block with inside-passes (back & forth) & solving the pressing trigger in the wide area with pass & move combinations, ending up with positional/numerical superiority against the last defensive line!

Facing low blocks its essential to know how to use opposite momentum; dribble/pass/move in one direction (sending OPP away from target space/goal) & attack the space in the opposite direction, often behind jumping player(s).๐Ÿ‘‰#Paulmcg8 has talked a lot about this concept lately.

When wide triangles are marked & distances short, penetration on ball-side is difficult. However, OPP is attracted & by getting out of pressure (to support player) space is often open inside/far-side. Fake switches are๐Ÿ”‘to access inside spaces and set up combinations #Galtier

Kudos to #Spalletti for bringing beautiful football back to Napoli. Fascinated of the chance-creating methods, their ability to pierce through OPP by create/exploit small space/time ADVs. Fluid wide triangles; rotations, interactions within/around it, combined with indi. quality!

His ability to read pressure, attract OPP close (enable opposite momentum to go past OPP), break lines (pass) & create superiority against DL (move) is world-class in this clip. I find Conor McGregor's quote "precision beats power & timing beats speed" quite fitting to #Verratti

I hope this thread provided some valuable insight to the training process & playing style of Liverpool. When reading the book you can feel Peps energy through the sentences & his genuine interest of sharing as much as possible. I recommend everyone read this book! [23/23]

This goal against Leeds truly captures Liverpool's identity with their intensity, chasing & first pass forward (movement around the ball to create shots) [22/23]

Also, 'first pass forward' was a concept introduced to their offensive transitions before the season (21-22). After stealing the ball the intention was to play the first pass forward (at all costs), which also forced movement in front and/or around the ball [21/23]
