App dependance is a scary new phenomenon as it is becoming more and more evident that people rely on apps for absolutely everything, including life decisions and medical advice. Apps now track exactly what you seek and aim to deliver, making it even more concerning. #eme4390s23

The Ted Talk discussing cognitive dissonance and partisanship really was interesting to me. I enjoyed hearing about how these things actually happen and affect our everyday lives. I also liked the relation to sports to help me better understand. #eme4390s23

Identity in politics is a huge aspect, as it shapes which groupings of likeminded individuals you belong to. It is interesting to me personally as I belong to many different groupings based on the political subjects at hand. #eme4390s23

Seeing that the digital world is shaping and changing politics is quite scary to me, as I am someone up and coming in the political world as I will soon be voting, and also someone involved in the digital world. #eme4390s23

Social media is known for its inequalities based on beauty standards and what the general public wants to see. Some people who have the "look" will succeed more on social media than others.

There are many inequities in social media that all stems from the different social groups and how they treat each other in the social platforms.

Social media hugely affects inequality as some people are not fortunate enough to afford internet, so those people miss out on every aspect of social media.

An example of marginalization in social media is that, in most cases, minority members are pictured or posted about in stereotypic and negative ways. These groups have been oppressed before, but social media continues to exemplify this.

The Disneyland article states "recognizing the growth of social media and mobile phones late last decade, the company embarked on a $1-billion digital transformation of Disney World with the MagicBand" This technological advance is amazing. #eme4390S23
