LET DREAMERS DREAM WHAT WORLDS THEY PLEASE. We close our 2023/24 season with Leonard Bernstein's Candide. The naïvely optimistic Candide sets out to explore the world, beset by an endless series of disasters, including war, an earthquake, and a shipwreck.

HE LOVES ME. WHO IS HE?. This winter, we present The Anonymous Lover, the only surviving opera by Joseph Bologne Chevalier de Saint-Georges. A beautiful young widow is disillusioned with romance. Her dear friend is sending her anonymous love letters to express his feelings.

AND BEFORE HIM ALL OF ROME TREMBLED…!. In November we kick our 2023/24 season off with Puccini's Tosca. Rome, 1800. As political storms gather, the opera singer Floria Tosca risks everything to save her lover, the painter Cavaradossi, from sinister police chief Baron Scarpia.
