To the Vanderbilt EM residents, the peds residents, the surgery residents, all other medical staff, we are with you today. Nobody should have to treat peds GSW. This should not be a thing that happens.

Questions for people who refuse to get the vaccine due to potential side effects/say it is "experimental" 1. If you get COVID would you go to the hospital for treatment? If yes, move to #2

#TipsForNewDocs A pt once threw me out of his room, cursing- rescheduled procedures, he'd been starved for days. Now in clinic, he greets me w/bear hugs, corny jokes. The lesson: you don't want to be judged by your worst day- don't judge a pt by theirs. #kittlesonrules

Paging Dr. Samson! I’m overwhelmed with joy to officially be graduating from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. These past 4 years have been filled with many memories, good and bad, but the one thing that has never changed are the people beside me through it all

How rare are blood clots from the Johnson & Johnson vaccine? Very rare -- much more rare than other common risk factors in our lives.

There are always questions at the end of the visit. It’s only natural. Nobody remembers everything. I’m used to clarifying and reiterating. But your question catches me off guard. “Did you know that hummingbirds remember every single flower they’ve ever visited?” 1/

It’s a historic day. We’ve received our first shipment of the COVID-19 vaccine and soon will begin vaccinating some of our frontline workers who’ve volunteered to receive it. https://t.co/JT58FyfkwQ

Starting back on the GI team after spending weeks studying for Step 2. I couldn’t be more happier to finally be back in the hospital. Ready for a month of endoscopies!
