12-13. We take 2nd. So much to be proud of this season. Thanks to all of our friends, family, and fans everywhere who have given us the best support imaginable. We could not have done it without you!
Time for a little R&R and then we’re running it back - Machine 2020 wants more.
Every year we have a wave of last-minute additions and last-minute dropouts before the first tryout. This dropout email we just received is the best to date:
That said, over 200 players have registered for tmrw's hat tournament and/or Machine tryouts!
This is a time where picking sides MATTERS. Standing for black lives MATTERS. Sitting out does not serve anyone, nor does not being explicit in your messaging. So we’re here to unequivocally say that

Tomorrow, we fly to San Diego for the
@USAUltimate
National Championships! We’re coming with numerous goal scoring celebration gifs of Walden dancing salsa, so expect a lot of scores this weekend 💃🏻
Beginning of the night: O-line handler amigos Yiding and Kyle struggle to find their chemistry early on but figure it out and finish strong after some missteps. I see no analogies that can be drawn between this and our season. None.
The World Games just proved to the whole globe what we already knew… Nate Goff IS THAT DUDE!
Congrats to our captain, our tall guy, and, most importantly, our friend for winning 🥇 this past week.
Walden Nelson. Not used to human contact/physical touch. Come up to him and gently touch his shoulder while talking to him. Tell him that he looks nice today. Will lose focus for 4 hours.
Update: Y’all did it!!! We have received just over 6k in donations to a variety of very worthwhile causes. We will be matching with $6000 in donations to Assata’s Daughters and the Chicago Black Owned Business Relief fund

Super pumped to see three guys with Machine ties will be coaching the USA U-20 Boy's National team! Andy Neilsen (current coach of Machine), Russell Wallack (former player for Machine), and Reid Koss (looks a lot like Travis Carpenter from Machine)
#ICYMI
: Reid Koss is the new head coach for the U-20 Boys' National Team. Andy Neilsen will continue as an assistant coach. And Russell Wallack will be the team’s new assistant coach. Read more here: .
We lost to
@SeattleSockeye
10-11…
But then USAU said “NAH FAM, y’all need to get this win!”
So we turned on the jets and won 15-14. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
We play winner of
@DigUltimate
@pghtemper
in quarters.
In the midst of the fun tonight, we also found time to celebrate Walden Nelson for winning the 'Golden Attendance' award. An award we gives out any time a Machine player goes ten consecutive years without missing more than a single practice or tournament! CONGRATS WALDEN!!!
Kurt Gibson. Easy one. Tell him that
@Brodiesmith21
was “more dark horse” and carried their team on
@AmazingRaceCBS
. Then tell him that Beau would’ve won. Will lose focus for rest of day.
We’re super excited to have our first workshop with
@disc_diversity
tonight! We’re looking to develop tools to create a more equitable Machine, as well as the awareness to identify where we have been inequitable in the past. Time to put in that work 🧠
Von will be the nicest dude to ever posterize you. Hands down. You’ll want to thank him after he layout D’s you.
But for real, congrats to all the SOTG awardees during this trying year. This is the work that matters!
Alex Evange. Whenever you find yourself around him, yell “CUT Rules”. No matter what he’s doing he will stop and repeat it back to you. This will continue indefinitely until you stop saying it. Will lose focus for ~5 seconds for every
@cutrules
uttered in his vicinity.
