It is my pleasure to announce that "Obicera", my next piece on
@artblocks_io
, will be open for minting on Saturday August 7, 6PM CT (11PM UTC). Dutch Auction, starting at 2E.
There's also a riddle involved!
Here are some test mints for your pleasure.
After 1881 days of dailies, I've realized I'm not enjoying the hustle any more. I'm stopping the streak. Today's daily is the last one.
Thanks to everyone that supported me, fellow artists, collectors, friends and unknown people! The response has been nothing short of amazing!
In other news, my next piece for
@artblocks_io
that I'll upload soon™️ is ready.
It's called "Departed", and at this point I just need to push it out.
It's kind of complex, crazy, yet...
On Oct 12, 10:00 AM CDT I will be releasing my latest long-form generative art piece, "Departed" on
@artblocks_io
It might be my deepest piece so far; it reflects on unexpected events and how we deal with fear of losing someone while being helpless.
Things happening in 2024 that I am already sure of:
- a long form piece with
@OnChainMonkey
that took me almost a year to do
- a couple of experiments with new formats
- dailies
I've said it many times already: the space *needs* some sort of critique to take place to stay relevant.
Right now we have too much speculation and nobody wants to hear the latest NFT they bought for a premium might be kind of lame from an artistic perspective.
A thread.
Q I’m pondering after Marfa: for all the positive buzz, why did so little of the discussion revolve around a critical evaluation of the “art” itself (as opposed to market forces, financial opportunities, trader emotions and digitally native culture)?
Does the art even matter?
