Users are often not aware of which services or applications are tracking them. I am doing a survey on the privacy and transparency of location data. If you have 15 minutes, your input is appreciated :).

When @amazon delivers packages via Colis Prive in Brussels, there is a 50% chance of them getting lost. Meanwhile in Brussels you can buy lost packages by the kilo

Bought a 20TB HDD 2 months ago, package got lost in transit. Bought it again last month, package never got "officially" lost, but the next-day delivery is still pending. Ordered it again yesterday, arrived today (yay) but seems it is broken. I think there is a curse on this HDD.

🧵. It is then trained on the accuracy of the training data. It is a nice addition for providing an accuracy value to accompany location data. 2/2.

🧵Similar to CCpos, the autoencoder is trained on the RSSI fingerprints of the training data. Afterwards, the encoder is combined with a CNN that includes the parameters (k) and output position of the k-NN algorithm as input and provides a single accuracy value (in metres). 1/2.

With sensor or location data, the most useful additional information is accuracy. Currently experimenting with fingerprint accuracy prediction in @OpenHPS based on CCpos' CADE-CNN. It can help to determine which k-NN fingerprinting parameters to use in different zones.

Woehoe 🥳🥳🥳.
My implementation of our approach to capture generic types of composite values (lists and maps) in RDF and SPARQL has made it into the latest release of the @ApacheJena framework for building RDF and SPARQL applications! 🎉.

Gamification on a 3d printer is not something I really seem to like in a software update .

This is a "Symet", a dumb robot I made 15 years ago, its only purpose is to collect enough sunlight and rotate around its axis. It should not waste the energy on trying to move itself unless it has enough energy to actually make a move. It still works after so many years :)

Rip Maggie Smith, you brought McGonagall to life.

She won two Oscars in her decades-long career and more recently starred in the Harry Potter films and Downton Abbey.

On the plus site, the insurance detected the origin of my water leak in the ceiling by emptying multiple buckets with coloring. On the downside, I can no longer turn off any of my lights and water is dripping from every light bulb in my ceiling. This is not good.
