This is a deeply concerning new action in allyship with the Trump Admin’s attempts to fear monger and crack down on progressive causes. Texas serves as one of the testing grounds for racist, far-right wing domestic policy. We must reject this dangerous new move. All eyes on TX.
Today, I designated the Muslim Brotherhood and Council on American-Islamic Relations as foreign terrorist and transnational criminal organizations. This bans them from buying or acquiring land in Texas and authorizes the Attorney General to sue to shut them down.
