We think our line-up was a good choice but we underestimate the number of oswald decks paired with SS which made 2 bad MU for our 🔴🟣.

So Edmund had just to draw many cards and find his coils and sisus. Elie played better than their previous round. Statistically the MU was for Elie but Lorcana is not always about stats, good MU or bad MU.

Once again when Elie played ⚪️🟢 against 🔵🔴 on the play, he was supposed to win. The ⚪️🟢 was made to beat 🔵🔴 with 3 beyond and even 2 Maui to get ride of items. The thing is, Elie never found Beyond or more than a single discard after drawing many cards with 3 tragic beast.

During top cut, the strategy for us was still to beat 🔴🔵 with our 2 decks. Unfortunatly Elie lost with 🟡🔵 against 🟣🟢 on the draw due to a non inkable on the top of the deck. The game was well disputed.

Elie admitted that, probably due to the pressure, messed up his mulligans and game plans against Ed.

Elie lost against Edmond during the round and top cut, but why ? Edmond decided to ban 🟣🔴 instead of ⚪️🟢. Round 5 Edmond managed to won with 🔴🔵 against 🟡🔵 on the draw which was almost impossible and Elie just had the worst hand playing ⚪️🟢.

And so Tim ended up against 2 oswald LU and lost. He then won against Karsten 🟡⚪️/🔴🔵/🟢🟣 and Luke 🟢⚪️/🟡🟣/🔴🔵. Elie lost against Luca and his oswald's 🔵🟢.He won against Raphaël 🟢⚪️/🟡🟣/🔴🔵 and lost against DKP 🔴🔵/⚪️🟣/🟢🟡.

What we did not expected was the amount of oswald decks especially in 🔵🟢. 🔵🟢 has always been a bad MU against 🔴🟣 and item oswald just make it worst. 🔴🟣 cannot interact with the items and cannot remove oswald easily. Pairing with 🔵🟢, ⚪️🟡 was is also a bad MU for 🔴🟣.

What went wrong ? 🔴🟣 was the key deck. As we tought ⚪️🟢 was gonna be banned almost all the time, it left us with 🟡🔵 on the play and 🔴🟣 on the draw. 🟡🔵 was designed to beat 🔴🔵 and 🔴🟣 to beat 🟢🟣 and aggro/midrange decks.

Finally ⚪️🟢 is just a strong deck that people fear so that they tend to ban it. Our line-up was made to target the basic line-up made of 🔴🔵, 🟢🟣 and ⚪️🟡.

The strategy : Ban ⚪️ Target 🔵🔴 without oswald and having good draw decks such as 🔴🟣 and 🟢⚪️. 🟣🔴 seemed to be an excellent choice cause it's really versatile and has no bad MU without ⚪️. 🟡🔵 is the best aggro deck on the play with ward characters and the best bodyguard.

Fin du parcours pour ces Worlds : Je finis en 3-4 après un super départ. Déçu du résultat final mais on reviendra plus fort ! Ce week-end a été fort en émotion, merci à tous ceux qui m'ont aidé à la préparation et apporté leur soutien !

Malheureusement Elie s'incline face a une série de mauvaises draw improbable en 🟢⚪️ 🤯 Et une bad luck en 🔵🟡 sur une non-ink qui lui coûte également la game. La chance n'était pas de notre côté mais on est fier de son parcours et de ses games bien jouées !
