We fought tooth and nail until the end. We, as the coaches, are forever proud of the team regardless of what the results were. We personally want to say thanks to teachers, staff, peers, family and friends who rooted for us in person or in spirit.

A word from our #GUAcademicBowl coaches: This is surreal. With the rematch between the two Eagles and another Eagle winning congratulations to CSD-Fremont. Our record was 8-2 during the Nationals, which brought us 18-2 (Regionals and Nationals combined);

The Eagles were unable to advance any further, even as the Opportunity Division was the third strongest division within the whole championship. In fact, the 2024 World Champion was from the Opportunity Division!

19800A Eagles 1 placed 41st in their division, Opportunity, with a 5-5 record, with each division having roughly 80 teams competing, with a total of 10 divisions altogether.

The MSSD team, named 19800A Eagles 1, consisted of seniors Dalton D’Angelo, Christopher Godoy Lorenzana, junior Fiona Keegan and freshman Holden Ewan. The coaches were Yumeng Li and John Van Wey.

The MSSD team competed with and against teams from around the U.S. as well as other 40 countries such as Australia, Canada, China and New Zealand among others. This event welcomed roughly 800 teams from around the world.

The MSSD Robotic Team recently wrapped up a year of extraordinary season at the 2024 @VEXRobotics World Championships Tournament April 25-27 at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas, Texas.
