The Marines of Detachment Muscat, Oman had a region command visit where the region Commanding Officer Lt. Col. Kratzer and region 1st Sgt. Morris accompanied the Marines to Wadi Shab for their cultural event. After the hike, the Marines took a swim to end their event.

MSGs and Embassy personnel around Region 6 in Southern and Eastern Africa participated in the virtual Marine Corps Marathon. Marines with Detachments Luanda, Angola; Harare, Zimbabwe; Juba, South Sudan; and the Region Headquarters completed 26.2 miles.

MSGs with Detachment N'Djamena, Chad and U.S. Ambassador Alexander M. Laskaris attended a wreath laying at the allied cemetery. The last surviving Chadian Soldiers from the French Army were present, including the oldest Chadian veteran who enlisted in 1946.

The Marines with U.S Embassy Tegucigalpa, Honduras organized a 5K Turkey Trot for the embassy community. They led the way, ensuring everyone stayed pumped and excited. After the run, they had a pull-up contest to keep the energy going.

Staff Sgt. Sun and Sgt. Wallace from detachment Karachi participated in the annual Pakistan Independence Day shooting competition hosted by Sindh Police. The Consulate won the first-place team award. Regional security officers placed first and third for individual #marksmanship.

#Marine Detachment with US Embassy Santiago, Chile joined the community to visit #Metropolitan Park and hike up San #Cristobal Hill. The San Cristobal Hill is approximately 700 meters high, located in the largest urban park in Chile. The Marines took the gondola on their descent.

Region 7 leaders participated in two region training events in Brussels Belgium. One of them consisted of a four-mile fellowship run where they visited the #CinquantenaireArch. The other region training #event was held at the NATO HQ.

MSGs with Detachment Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea hosted a happy hour for all local employed staff to show their appreciation for their dedication and commitment to their work. The Marines provided food, played games, and sang karaoke, which built and strengthened cohesion.

#MSG Sgt Arend with Detachment Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea taught 40 local guards basic MCMAP techniques to improve their ability of self-defense. The training primarily focused on knife techniques and built on the strong relationship between the Marines and local guards.
